We at Vogosen are pleased to announce that a new SDG Goal Identifier Tool has just joined our ESG Materiality Mapping Tool and SASB-SDG Mapping Tool in our list of Free ESG Tools.
Our free SDG Goal Identifier Tool leverages the ontology by OSDG.ai. It processes texts into n-grams, matches them with the ontology, and scores the relevance with our tested proprietary algorithm. As we have announced a couple of weeks ago, we have made the entire algorithm publicly available as an open-source library on GitHub.

Using the Free SDG Goal Identifier

Everyone is welcome to use the free SDG Goal Identifier tool available here. Texts can be entered and/or pasted into the text box, which allows for a maximum of 5,000 characters. Alternatively, you can also upload PDFs up to 10MB in size. In this case, we ask for your work email, which we will append to our mailing list. You agree to this term when you proceed by clicking "Identify SDGs" after attaching your PDF.
Please note that we are using a basic PDF-to-text parser for this demo. It may not function properly with all PDFs, depending on the editor that produced the original document. We have more advanced PDF parsers that can read texts from all PDFs, including ones that include texts in images.

Jiulin Teng

Jiulin Teng has deep understanding of key topics in management science and new technologies. He also has broad knowledge in macroeconomics, business policy, and software engineering.
Upon completing his dissertation on the application of game theory in competitive strategy, Jiulin Teng worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company (Belgium). More recently, he has launched and participated in a number of startups in blockchain, IT, and AI. He is a proficient database architect and is a full-stack developer with good command of modern programming languages. He has also taken an interest in Natural Language Processing.
Jiulin Teng holds a PhD in Strategic Management and Business Policy from HEC Paris (France). He also has a Master’s degree in Bioentrepreneurship from Karolinska Institute (Sweden) and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Nankai University (China).
